About the Property and Its Location
About the Original Building
Just a few months ago, The now Mallory event venue lay abandoned, overgrown with vines, and filled with memories of the past. The Mallory in its previous life served as a lumber barn for the Rinaudo Hardware store that was located directly in front of it on Commerce Street in downtown St. Francisville. Since the Rinaudo Hardware store closed 20+ years ago, the building has held onto the leftover lumber and other personal mementos from the previous owner. With its long-standing structural disregard, The Mallory building had missing pieces of the roof, some water damage, and several other structural issues that needed immediate attention. Despite all odds to retaining the building and amending the issues it faced, we were able to see the beauty of the building for what it once was and salvage the remaining structural components that were still usable. In the new and updated Mallory, you will see several remaining architectural features of the building including the structural poles and exposed trusses. Additionally, the building will also feature portions of the original tin siding and other architectural components that are original to the design and construction.
About the Current Property
With a completely renovated building in a completely revitalized part of St. Francisville, The Mallory is located in the new North Commerce development located on Commerce Street. The Mallory as mentioned previously will be ideally set up to host events of all kinds ranging from both big and small! Not only will you, your guests, or any event attendee enjoy The Mallory itself, but they will also be able to experience and enjoy the other businesses located within North Commerce. The Mallory will be directly next to shopping at The Corbel, Barlow Fashion, and Deyo Supply Co., on-site accommodations at Hotel Toussaint, food and beverage at Big River Pizza Co., Proud Mary’s Speakeasy, Away Down South ice cream parlor, and Bayou Sara Brewery, and services at Trends Hair Salon.
